What does "Classified" mean?

Classified teams are the ones GW allows for official tournament play. If a team is Classified, you can bring it to any official event.

What happens when a team is no longer Classified?

You can't bring it to official GW tournaments, but it keeps getting balance updates, and plenty of local events and leagues still allow these teams. They're perfectly fine for casual games. The kill team box may go out of print and get harder to find, but the models usually stay available in regular 40k kits.

How long does a team keep getting rules?

Longer than it stays Classified. The schedule above assumes roughly two more years of balance updates after a team rotates out. GW has talked about supporting teams across two editions, so treat the exact end dates as estimates.

Are these dates official?

No. GW doesn't announce exact dates, so every date is an estimate based on GW's article about managing the range and the usual season rhythm.
