Playing versus Deathwatch
Key mechanics: Veteran Astartes, Special Issue Ammunition.
Operatives
- Deathwatch Watch Sergeant — Once per battle: use one strategy ploy and one firefight ploy for 0 CP; Can take one extra equipment option
- Deathwatch Aegis Veteran — 2+ save. Storm Shield reduces Piercing by 1 (Piercing 1 ignored entirely); Shield weapon: each block cancels two successes in melee
- Deathwatch Blademaster Veteran — Ignores Hit stat penalties on melee. Gets a free pre-emptive block in combat; Phase Sweep: free chain Fight against every enemy in Control Range
- Deathwatch Demolisher Veteran — 6/7 damage melee with Shock and Stun; gains Brutal when fighting and Ceaseless on Charge; -1 incoming damage (Normal and Crit 3+) in melee
- Deathwatch Disruptor Veteran — Strategic Gambit: delays one enemy operative's activation by a D6 roll; Makes the Advanced Auspex Scan ploy free when conditions met (doesn't need to be the shooter)
- Deathwatch Headtaker Veteran — Can Charge from Conceal order. Gets a double strike if target couldn't see it beforehand; Climbing costs only 2"; dropping is free
- Deathwatch Marksman Veteran — Can Guard in any killzone. In close quarters, re-Guards after shooting on guard (once per TP)
