Barred - Kill Team Rules
Barred Terrain
In Killzone: Volkus, the unbroken windows of the large ruins are Barred terrain.
Visibility cannot be drawn through Barred terrain unless the operative or what it's trying to see is horizontally within 1" of it.
In the scene below, both operatives are more than 1" from the window, so the target is not Visible|visible.
- Only the unbroken windows are Barred. Broken windows and other openings in the ruin are just gaps you can see through normally.

Attacker Within 1" of Barred Terrain
If the operative trying to see is horizontally within 1" of the window, visibility can be drawn through it.
The attacker is within 1" of the window, so the target is Visible|visible.

Target Within 1" of Barred Terrain
It works both ways. If what the operative is trying to see is horizontally within 1" of the window, visibility can be drawn through it too.
The target is within 1" of the window, so it's Visible|visible. The window is also Intervening|intervening terrain within the target's control range, so the target is In cover.

Control Range Through Barred Terrain
Control range needs two conditions: Visible|visibility and being within 1".
Here, both operatives are horizontally within 1" of the window, so visibility can be drawn through it. They're also within 1" of each other. That means they're within each other's Control Range|control range.
- The operatives can perform the Fight action against each other through the window.
