Cover - Kill Team Rules
In Cover
An operative is In Cover when two conditions are met: the terrain is Intervening (crosses the base-to-base lines), AND the terrain is within 1" of the target's base.
An operative is in cover if there's intervening terrain within its control range.
Not In Cover (Terrain Not Intervening)
If the terrain does not cross the base-to-base lines, it is not Intervening - the target is NOT In Cover, even if the terrain happens to be within 1".
- Terrain to the side of the base-to-base line doesn't grant cover - it must actually cross the projection.
An operative is in cover if there's intervening terrain within its control range.
Cover
An operative is In Cover if there's Intervening terrain within 1" of the target. Two conditions must be met: terrain must be Intervening AND within 1" of target.
- Cover only requires terrain within 1" of the target - the attacker's distance to terrain doesn't matter.
An operative is in cover if there's intervening terrain within its control range.
Cover (2" Exception)
An operative cannot be In Cover while visible and within 2" of the attacker. Here, the target has Intervening terrain within 1", but the attacker is too close.
However, it cannot be in cover while within 2" of the other operative.
